Memories of Noshir Panthaky's mother.

Memories
  • Mom went into coma early morning around 8.00am in the hospital on november 21st, 2007. IO reached the hospital by 8.30am unfortunately I was not there before she went into coma. I held her hand till evening telling her I am there by her side. don't worry. she died at around 6 in the evening the same day. I had to manage everything for her with the help of my near and dear friends.
  • The night before she died, she wanted to remember our names. I wrote it down and she was trying to memorise the names. Had to reteach her how to say the names.
  • Her last laugh was a few days back from her last day, when i told her "come on, come on, it's morning and you must make some tea for me. She knew she could not as she was in bed. And that I was joking.
  • She knew the trouble I had to take in taking care of her, The only thing she could say "Nosh i'm sorry but I love you very much".
  • Even in bed she made sure that her dogs were feed every day and that they would not be left hungry.
  • She always needed my help and support these last 15years, due to her health problems and felt safe when I was around.
  • It is very difficult to belive that she is no more and the fear to think that. It's a feeling that one cannot share with anyone. Only the person concerned can understand the feeling.
  • She will always remain alive in my heart and mind as long as I live.
  • Mom loved animals a lot, she always looked after the road dogs and fed them everyday.
  • Mom protected all animals who were near her and in and around the society
  • Mom was very supportive in my life. she was a good mother and taught me the best of her knowledge.
  • Moms's last wish was respected and we proceeded for the funeral according to her wish. (hopefully there will be someone for me to do the same for me).
  • Mom was very religious and prayed daily. morning, afternoon and evening at the setting sun.
  • Mom was loved by many childrn where ever she went. She had a kind heart and cared for them. She used to go out of her way for children and animals. she was commonly know as 'Aunty' In coloba during the years till 1987 she was very well know in the area by the name of Aunty by the kids.
  • I remember even after we shifted to Borivli, a couple of times she went back to colaba to feed some of the dogs she loved very much.
  • We had roughly 9 dogs in total as pets inhouse in her life. When I came in there were 3. She developed the love for animals in me.
  • Mom's s dad died when she was very young. She still remembered his love. Her mom looked after her since. Yes she had brothers and sisters.
  • Mom was a very good cook when she was in good health. She was never able to cook after she had an paralysis stroke. Even then she tried to do some thing or the other. It made her feel good. (she ahd a stroke abt 20 yrs before she died. That time I was in college).
